Well I knew it was way past due for me to finally update this blog, seeing as it was last September that I had last posted. But, instead of trying to make up for all the pictures I didn't post, I decided to start at Christmas, and hopefully we can get back on a regular posting schedule.
Christmas was great for us this year...although we were away from our families. Mom and Dad Hancock came the week before Christmas to visit....which was wonderful! The morning after they arrived, Carlie Ann Nuttall decided to make her arrivel into the world. Audrie had to have her first baby without mom...something Jared and I still are sorry for...but are also glad that mom and dad were here with us. Rhees had a ball with Grandma and Grandpa and was so sad to see them go. As we dropped them off at the airport Rheesie cried and cried for grandma and grandpa. She still asks me every morning where they are at.
The wonders of technology are amazing! How wonderful it was to be able to still practice our Larsen family traditions on Christmas eve with the rest of the family in Utah, despite our being here in Texas. Granted, seeing everyone over the webcam was not the same as being there in person...but it helped with some of the home sickness we experienced over the holidays.
Jared and I are very blessed! We have grown to love Texas and have made a lot of friends in our ward. Jared is now serving as young mens president, and I as the Beehive adviser, so we have our hands pretty busy with trying to keep up with the youth in our ward, but are loving every minute of it! Jared continues to love his job and is doing very well with it. In addition to his job at Maxwell, he is now the designated ward mechanic, and it seems that he always has someone's vehicle in the ward that he's working on. I'm keeping busy watching Rhees grow and am having so much fun spending each day with her. She is growing leaps and bounds every day, and is such a character! She now can count to 12 on her own and can sing her ABC's. As you've seen in most of the pictures, she loves to color and do anything that has to deal with art. She also is now quite the musician and is always singing, dancing, or playing music in some shape or form. She is so fun to be with!
Thank you all for your love, prayers and friendship. Jared and I consider ourselves so blessed to have such an amazing family! We are looking forward to seeing all of you soon as we come to Utah for Dax and Steph's wedding. Until then, we plan on staying warm here in Texas!
Well, until next time......
Love, Jared, Jenny and Rheesie!
