We've had a very fun and busy summer so far! It started out with Rhees' Gymnastics preview night. She had a lot of fun in Gymnastics this year, and we are so proud of how far she is coming along. She is taking what they call "Open Gym" this summer where they meet during the months of June and July for 2 days a week. It's kinda like a gymnastics boot camp. She having a blast so far!
Then, I took the girls on a hike with my Activity Days girls. The girls had a lot of fun, but Ainslee decided the whole walking thing was very overrated, and would rather be carried by her mother. Needless to say, my arms were tired by the end of the hike.
We then traveled to California with my fam. This was pretty exciting for us, because it was the first "vacation" we have ever had as a family. We were able to go to LegoLand, and then Jay and I took the girls to Sea World with my Mom and Dad. We were also able to go meet my parents at the San Diego Temple after they finished a session and get some pics of the beautiful grounds. The girls had a ton of fun....we also were able to make it to the beach. Unfortunately, I was too busy riding the rides, watching the shows, and playing in the water to get many pics.
To top it all off, Mom and Dad Hancock were here for a visit this past week....and what a fun visit it was! Jay had taken the entire "week" off they were here, and I was able to finagle a few last minute days off too. On Tuesday we traveled down to Tucson to the Reid Park Zoo. It just a small zoo, but it was pretty nice and filled with all types of interesting animals I don't recall ever seeing in a zoo before (like Capybaras and Anteaters). The girls had a ton of fun with this, despite the heat!
We've had a lot of fun so far, and are enjoying our last summer before rhees officially starts school. Crazy to think my little girl is old enough to be a kindergartner!
This skit cracks me up so much every time I watch it. Whenever I'm in a bad mood, I just pull this up and watch it and instantly feel better. Hope you enjoy!
