Hope this makes you giggle like it did me!

After visiting my friend Kim's blog and seeing the Harry Potter Puppet Pals video, I was curious to see what others they had on Youtube. It just so happens that I work with a bunch of ebay fanatics who are so bummed out at work because our hospital has banned ebay from the computer network due to too much traffic during work hours. This is in honor of all those ebay fans!

The impressionable minds of children....

Before I start the actual post, I wanted to send a heartfelt thankyou to all of you that responded to my earlier post. It is such a strength to me to know that I have the love and support of my family and friends no matter how far apart we may all be. When writing the post, I didn't do it expecting any response, it was more of a cleansing/healing thing for myself to take that final step and embrace it all in an honest, open way. So thank you!

Now onto the post.....

I realized today how much television can truly affect a child's perception and attitude in life. I've been home with sick kids for the past couple of days, and when I went to give the standard dose of medicine to Rhees, she looked at me and said, "Mommy, what medicine are you giving me?" When I told her that I was giving her medicine to help with her fever, runny nose, and cough, she responded, "Is it Sinupret? Sinupret is the best for little girls who are sick like me!" Stifling a chuckle I asked her where she had learned that from, she told me, "The mommy on the commercial gave it to her little girl because she loves her so much!" Oh the horror! I just don't measure up to the commercial mom because I chose to give my child Tylenol plus, not the illustrious Sinupret.....still chuckling over that one! Oh how easily swayed and convinced a child can be......all that tells me is that we may be allowing her to watch a little too much TV! Needless to say, I think we are going to need to have a FHE on discernment. :o)

We finally have a song!

Jared and I have never had an official "song" to call our own. That was, we never did until the other day when he texted me a link to this song to tell me that he had found our song. I have to say, it fits us pretty well and it makes the butterflies in my belly start dancing and me smile every time I hear it. Thought I'd share a little of my happiness with you since I was such a downer with my last post! It's Lucky by Jason Mraz and Colbie Caillat. Enjoy!
