A lot going on...

Well a lot has happened since the last time I blogged. Jared turned the big 3-0, Ainslee turned the big 3, we traveled back to Utah for Thanksgiving and saw our wonderful families (who we miss so much!), Christmas came and went as did good ol' Saint Nick who, in his usual fashion, spoiled the girls, and oh....did I mention, we are expecting! Life seems to go by so fast these days! I can't believe that my little girls have gotten so big while my back was turned, and now to be expecting another little bundle into our lives....at times is a little overwhelming! I don't remember what it's like to have a newborn around the house, although I do remember feeling the same way when I was pregnant with Ainslee. Guess that's the hazard of waiting so long in between. The girls are so excited, as are mommy and daddy! We weren't expecting to be expecting....but our Heavenly Father always seems to know better than we do and I can hardly wait to meet the newest member of our family!

When we traveled back to Utah, we were able to finally get some family photos done (something we haven't accomplished since before ainslee was born). Nikki's friend took the pictures, and I love how they turned out! It was so cold outside for our poor sun raised girls, and Ainslee especially was just shivering at the end, so I'm glad the pictures actually turned out and you don't just see a blur where Ains is involved. The poor girl only knows sunny arizona, so Utah in november was a cold shock to the system for her!




Because of the New Year, I'm of course thinking of resolutions.....this year, I think my main focus is going to be on making better memories for my kids and keeping proof of these. I've become horrible at taking pictures, and between Jared and my work schedules, we have seriously lacked in the fun memory making activities for our girls! I sat and realized this past year how much fun we used to have.....and how sedentary we've become lately! So, this year, we are planning to do at least 1 fun memory making activity as a family per month. That means at least 1 day a month where Jared and I will both have the same day off! I can't hardly wait! New Year...here we come!
